Cocktail of the week – Moscow Mule

05 Feb

Now Dear Reader….listen very closely. I’ve been working tremendously hard on my research here. Its a labour of love mixing and trialling and shaking and stirring just so I can bring you simple, delicious and lets be honest, amazingly tasty social lubricants. Nothing says, “let’s have some fun” like a gorgeous looking cocktail. So I’m telling you, this one you will definitely want to try.

HOT TIP: This baby is sweeet on a hot day. Its even sweeter shared with good friends and good food.

Moscow Mule

Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour over 2 nips vodka, 1 nip lime juice, fill with ginger beer and a few splashes of bitters. Serve with a lime wedge garnish. Done, drink, smile, happy.

Ahhhhh… the mule. Doesn’t get much better than that on a summer evening, or a winter evening for that matter. I’m with you on this one Jen.

It was delicious i must say!!! Actually Jen I’m sending you out on a mission….
    Mum’s Famous Pinapple Sage Punch!!!
    Its:
    – Pinapple sage (and yes it may be a little hard to find – try growing it though, Cass found it at bunnings) crushed up and mixed with Pinapple juice. Let the flovours get to know each other while they have a party in the fridge (probably over night would be the best). Then on a hot day fill a glass a third full with this delicious mixture over ice. And to complete your this tasty goodness fill the rest of your glass up with ginger beer. mmmmm tasty!!!
Where’s the secret ingredient that makes you feel all tingly inside you ask???
You tell me… this was a G- rated summer treat for us kids. I’ll ask mum what she added to hers when while we were all oblivious. (Haha) But I’d say vodka, tequila or bicardi perhaps.
Have fun my beautiful, oh and im happy to help you with you hard work research anytime!
